YAY - we are having a baby!!
I wanted to wait until I was past 12 weeks to make my news official - I reckon after a couple of m/s I just felt more comfortable shouting it from the roof tops as I passed into my second trimester!
We have one DS that is 16 yo and will graduate from high school in 2009 - he is happy but a little un-fazed by it all! My DD that is 2 yo (she will be 3 in JAN 09) - she has not a clue when I talk about a baby in my belly! Our due date is 8 DEC 2008 - a pre-Christmas baby!
We are really excited and kind of laid back about this baby. I am not really bothering with the books on pregnancy with this baby - as it's only been 2 years. Also this baby was planned - we worked really hard on it - LOL! We are also not going to find out the sex of this baby - we want a surprise - we just have to stay strong!
I plan to breastfeed again and I would love to have a home birth - but it will depend on my health and the baby's health. I will be 37 when I deliver - but I am not letting that number scare me at all. I have always been healthy and gave birth to healthy and petite babies. But we are keeping an open mind about things. I would rather give birth in the comfort of my home and not have to stay in a military hospital for two days!
My husband will probably not be home for the birth of this baby - he will be in a mandatory school that cannot be shifted at this point. So that's another reason for wanting a home birth - I don't to up heave DD while I am away for a couple of days and worry about who is keeping her, etc...
So that's my news and we couldn't be more thrilled! Now if I can just get out of this morning/all day sickness rut and get motivated - that would be great!! Oh also - I don't have a lot of stuff for this little one - as we thought we were done so we got rid of DD stuff as she outgrew it! I will pass on her huge changing table and her posh European strollers, but that's it. She is still in her crib that changes into a toddler bed. So eBay, yard sales, newspaper and consignment shops - here we come!!

Thank you all soooo much!

In response to IntlMom - I figure I have got time for one more before I call it quits! Though I am sure DS wonders if I will still be having children by the time he get married and starts! LOL! DH has a soldier that is 21 that had a baby in May - well 6 months ago her mother had her 11 sibling! I just didn't continue having children early enough to keep up with that - LOL!
PrairieRose - I wish I could say that I have great skin that just doesn't leave a mark and I am in such tip top shape that I could still run a marathon - ummm.... No. I don't think I will be able to tell the difference in stretch or addition of! I just need to get my act together and start walking more!
Thank you all!!
