    Default Eek!

I'm trying to get all my baby stuff in order just in case she decided to come early, so today I went to Walgreens and bought 4 packs of newborn size diapers.

AH! Have you seen these? They're so cute and tiny! I can't imagine anyone possibly having a but small enough to fit into them.

Yeah, there isn't much point to this post. So what?

it is pretty kool to see them go from newborn diapers to underwear. lol, when merrick was born he was 5 lbs 1 oz at birth. he probbably could have worn the preemie stuff but i didnt get them in time from my dad and stepmom. 3 1/2 yrs later and he is still in 2t stuff. very picky eater. he would love to eat fruit, some veggies and junk food all day if i let him (i dont let him).

Sure there's a point to the post! How exciting for you, Lily is almost here. Bet you're on a bit uncomfortable but excited just the same. This little girl is going to change your life, it's big stuff indeed.

Both of my daughters were born extremely pre-mature. #1 was 2 lbs. 11 oz. and #2 was 1 lb. 15 oz. Their diapers in the NICU were about the size of a dollar bill, no kidding. I used to keep one in my wallet just to prove to people just how small they were! Of course that was 15 and 10 years ago! (they are really healthy now)

I love little newborn diapers!!! Just a thought---set one of your newborn diapers aside adn compare it to Lily's size 4 diapers! You will be shocked. I came across one when I was cleaning the other day and I almost cried!

The same thing happened to me the other day when I was cleaning my sons room. He is a size 4 and I found two newborn ones that fell behind the changing table. So cute.....I'm keeping them. Can't believe he used to be so tiny.

My kids are grown and I had forgotten how tiny they were. My best friend just had a baby (she is a month old now) and I changed her diaper the other day, and I made the same comment. Something to the effect, of how teeny they were!

Believe it or not, your baby will fit in those! Congrats and good luck to you! I remember it fondly, it was such an exciting time!

I getcha! Little baby patooties are so cute!

You might want to hang on to that receipt, though. We had quite a few packs of newborn diapers, and wound up with a 9 lb 15 oz baby girl. Learned that lesson for the next two and the smallest size we had pre-bought were size 2's. Worked well as the boys were 9 lbs 11 oz and 9 lbs 5 oz.

And I agree with Darlene...the point is that you are excited as all get out that you've got a new little one on the way!!! It's the most exciting time in your life!
