Default Due date getting close...loosing motivation

For school that is! My due date is Dec 6th, but my ob says I'm measuring a bit big and I'm dialated to 2cm. She doesn't think I'll make it that long. I knew before I started the semester that I would deliver before it was over, but I was hoping to make it till my due date, take a week or two to recover and then come back to take my finals. I should be able to do this anyways, but now I'm having a hard time staying motivated and on top of my homework and studying. Not good when I need to maintain a 3.80+ GPA in order to have any chance of being accepted into the nursing program I want Just kind of wish I could focus competely on getting everything ready (for the most part everything is) and relaxing before the big day comes. Sigh!

Relax. Have you talked to your profs about delaying your exams if necessary or gotten some of your work prior to the birth? I could not believe the exhaustion I had after my first child - catch up on sleep now.

    Take care.

Yeah, all my profs have been really good about wanting to work with me. Worse comes to worse, I can get an extension, but I would really like to have everything wrapped up now and taken care of. I remember how tired I was with my first too and that's why I need to keep on top of things now cause it will only be harder later.

I hope it works out for you. Were you more tired in the beginning or at the end of pregnancy? I am 5 weeks pregnant and exhausted most of the day...mostly exhausted by the afternoon and if I can't get a nap then I am in bed by 8:30 or 9pm at night.

    Marie,

I'm not tmfvv, but all I can tell you is that the first trimester is exhausting. You usually get a lot more energy in the second trimester. I find that I am not as tired now (2 1/2 weeks to go) as I was when I was about 5 weeks pregnant, but that may end up being pregnancy and person dependent.

I would say I was more tired at the beginning of both my pregnancies, but the end is pretty exhausting as well. I've gotten to a point where it's hard to stay comfortable at night and frequent pee breaks keep me from sleeping the night through, but all and all I feel pretty good! I stayed more active with this pregnancy than I did my last and it has made a big difference in how I feel!
