Need tips and/or advice please!
I think I may be pregnant. I am ten days late. I haven't tested in a few days but the last test said negative. I've been cramping the past two weeks off and on but nothing. I'm considering getting a blood test done but I'm not sure if it's too soon or anything. Advice? TIA!

yes, you should go to the DR. Some people are just "immune" to the over the counter tests, a Dr. can tell as soon as your 1st day missed. They read the levels in your blood to determin and then an ultrasound may be in order. If you are pregnant, you want a Dr. to check things out anyways to make sure that you and the baby are safe. If it is a "tubal" then you need to know NOW - that is life threatening to you and the longer you wait, the less your chance. Be safe for you and the baby, and God bless.

The cramps range from light to mild so I hope it isn't major. I'll be calling the doctor Tuesday.

I'd wait another two weeks to take the test and skip going to the Dr... why go in and charge your insurance company or pay a co-pay if you can wait two more weeks and get a clearer OTC result?
Oh, and the dollar store in our area has dollar tests, they are pretty accurate.
P.S. If it is a tubal "problem" it hurts like the dickens, much worse than period cramps and it comes on really quick. The cramping you could be feeling may be normal stretching of your uterus... or a late period coming on.Last edited by rasilla; 09-08-2009 at 01:44 PM. Reason: Forgot to add something...

I am three months pregnant and when I started testing, I kept getting negatives. It wasn't until almost three weeks that I got a positive test. I actually had thrown it out because it didn't change but then the next day when I was emptying the trash, I noticed it was positive - I just hadn't let it go long enough (I waited about 15 mintues and nothing came up so I tossed it).
If you still keep getting negatives but you think you are pgrs you can go to your dr or even some clinics that offer reduced prices if money is an issue.
Good luck!Debt Free - except for the mortgage!
