    Default 30 weeks today

I am a little scared LOL I already have the 3 other children but my baby (so far) is 8 so it has been awhile since I have done the baby thing.

I am planning on breast feeding, I am going to be home all day with the baby. I am wondering if I need a breast pump now, before the baby gets here. Or can I wait till after baby gets here, say a few weeks or month after it is born?

I go on Sept 2nd for my next ultra sound, Dr wanted to wait till I was farther along to do it cause of my weight gain. I have only gained 4lbs so far, but he says I am measuring good and do not have anything to worry about. I am praying we can find out what the baby is then. It is so hard to buy clothes and bedding that are cute that are neutral in colors. We are really hoping for a girl. DD wants to have a baby sister and the boys want a girl so that DD will leave them alone lol

Time is going by so fast...

Oh it will come back fast. And it could be worse the baby could be 3 and extremly jealous. I would get things a little early this time after labor SHOULD be shorter and the baby may be abit early as your body has been there ,done that, kwim??

    ~Yay! Congrats on 30 weeks!
You should definitely get your pump before the baby arrives. You will probably have way too much milk the first few weeks when it comes in and it's nice to be able to pump and store it then instead of trying to build up your supply later. They're also great for relieving engorgement.
Just last week I discovered that I must have given away my pump and had to order another one. I went with an Avent Isis IQ Uno. I had an Avent manual last time but I went with an electric this time because I want to pump a bit more. The price difference was only $30.
I went with Playtex Premium drop-in bottles again too. I was very satisfied with them 5 years ago with dd so why mess with a good thing right?
    Hope your ultrasound goes well!~

Thanks for the reply's. I am a little nervous about the baby coming early, especially with all the pain and pressure I have been feeling lately. Plus like you said I have been there, done that 3 times before lol

Thanks for the advice on the pump, I was really leaning towards getting one before baby arrived. Now I will keep an eye out for a good deal. I had a manual one with DD and did not care for it, I am going to get an electric one this time. I was also wondering about the bottles. I can't seem to remember, but do you have to use certain bottles to store breast milk in? I know you can freeze it in freezer bags but was wondering about bottles also.

    Thank you

i have 5 all were 2 weeks early but # 5 who waited to the day before his due date - i felt like i was carrying him so low i expected him to stick his hand out and wave LOL!

i would ask on freecycle - look for any BF Moms groups that are locally and see if you can borrow or have a breast pump someone else wont be using before you go and buy one .
