I can't believe that next Friday I will be about 20 weeks along. Only 20 more to go after that. It seems like yesterday when my secret was let loose in the village.
So for all you other mom out there, which seems to go by quicker, the first half or the last.
I think with having a job now, as quick as the last 2 weeks have gone by that it will be due date in no time at all.
With my previous preg's the second half went the fastest. Why? I think because each visit brought new milestones...movement, heartbeats strong enough to be heard on a stethescope (bought at a drug store, so heartbeats were strong and babies were close to the uterine wall). The last week or two everything seemed in slow motion, but the funniest thing that surprised me with each preg was when my belly button reversed...it was the wierdest thing, rofl, like a turkey timer.

With me, I think the first half went faster, even though my second "half" was shorter than expected. I was stressed by the middle of my pregnancy with medical issues, so the second half was less fun for me-- more praying and worrying involved!
Kat, are you showing much? Have you felt movement yet? (I forget how far along you have to be to feel the baby moving, so it might be too early for that yet.) Feeling the baby move was so exciting to me-- Dh would get tired of me constantly saying "feel this" and making him touch my belly!

When I was at the Dr.'s for my check up Wed. the Ultra Sound tech said the baby was moving a lot and I should start to feel it within the next few weeks.
The only time I really "look" pregnant is if you see me from the side. Although when I go to put on my pants I can tell it then as well....lol
So far I've gained 10 pounds. I had gained 9 from my appointment in July when I went on the 13th and when I went this Wedn. for my post ER check up I had already gained another pound.

I thought it was around the middle when you'd start feeling the baby move.... I think that was my favorite part of being pregnant!

The first half seemed faster to me, but I loved the second half the best! Feeling your baby move is the most wonderful feeling in the world to me! I used to sit and eat ice cream in the bathtub balancing the bowl on my tummy and watch as my babies kicked and made the bowl jump! I know, I'm easily entertained!:
How cool! I'm about a week behind you! It's exciting to be almost halfway there! I'm getting so anxious for time to pass on by so I can hold this little one.
I think that the 2nd half seems to go the quickest. There are so many milestones and you tend to get busy with getting everything ready for the new wee one. I loved getting the nurseries ready and getting all the little clothes ready. There is not greater joy than baby. I am so happy for you and Joe.

Last night Joe and I were talking about how long until the new Condrey comes so Joe can let the other guys at work know roughly when he is taking his vacation for the first half of the year so they don't ask for theirs at the same time. First it was....oh about 20 weeks, then it went to about 4.5-5 months. After that I looked at the calender and said, well I only have 10 more paychecks (after Friday it will be 9 more to go....lol).
So far the weeks I've spent working have gone by quick. I Hope the rest of the time goes just as fast.
The first half was always slower it seemed, because I had the worst morning sickness for the forst couple of months. Then smooth sailing until the last couple of weeks when I got anxious.
