How did you pick your baby names?
Was it easy to do? Did you decide, your dh/so or both of you? Did you pick popular names, names of family members or both?

Blake was tough. It was the only name both I and his father could agree on.
The last two were easy. My mother's middle name is Anita, and dh's mother's middle name is Grace, that makes Anita Grace. Dh's brothers are Kevin and Michael, Kevin Michael.

DH and I agreed before we even got married, that if we had a girl, we would name her Kathryn. We both just really liked that name. Her middle name is after my sil (dh's sister).
We had a hard time coming up with a name for Lauren, and Dave didn't like my first choice, which was Amanda. So he came up with Lauren, and her middle name is Amanda.

Erick was easy, he is named after the two most important guys in my life, my Dh- Erick and my brother- Edward
Hannah was harder. With tons and tons of girls in our families we had to look for names that weren't already in use. I liked Hannah for a long time, and I don't remember how we came up with her middle name, Faith.

I always wanted a little girl named Alex We wanted something more formal. When Billy Joel and Christy Brinkly had a little girl named Alexa Rae I really liked that name and wanted to name her Alexa Mae (My mom's middle name was Mae, she said if we named her that she was never talking to us again
)
We both just liked the name Nicole. So, there she is Alexa Nicole.

The first baby was a toughie!!!!! Dh is a junior although he doesn't use Jr. he does the II thing........we were having the first grandbaby in the family and I remember my MIL telling me how awful it was to have her MIL tell her she had to name her son after his Dad......so what does she do......she pressured me endlessly about naming our baby after his daddy and I didn't want to!!!! Good thing she was a girl!!!!!!
Katie is named after my Grandma and her middle name is my Mom's middle name. I am asked all the time if she is a Katherine and she isn't, she is just a Katie!
ds came almost 7 years later and by that time everyone was just thankful that I was having another baby so no pressure on the name. I knew immediately that he was a boy (no sonogram to confirm it.....just a strong feeling) and we both liked the name Kyle so that is who he is!!!
