Red face dh is making me nervous

he is in a panic...he's got it into his head that this might be twins. after having teased me mercilessly that I am rather large now compared to previous pregnancies. and he couldn't wrap his head around the two heartbeats he thought he heard in the belly via the bebe sounds monitor thing. one was MINE I am 99.99999% sure. I myself haven't heard anyhting on the monitor but the grinding of the joints in my fingers and his snoring.

should serve him right for teasing me about my belly size, but honestly I can't be that mean as to make his panic even worse. I have tried and tried to reassure him that i am pretty sure i am having just the one baby. He wants to - get this- get to the docs an extra half hour early on Monday just so he might get me in sooner to hear the heartbeats for sure with the doppler. Early...early?? Erick?? Early?? Just a minute, I'm feeling faint. Those words don't belong in the same paragraph let alone the same sentence.

Sure doesn't help that ds is sure there are two also. but he's been saying that from day one.

i think dh will have me in the loony room before monday's appointment comes. He's making it hard to reassure him. Give me strength.

Men! If it makes you feel any better, DH's grandma told me and everyone else that I was having twin boys.... even though I lost weight rather than gained during my pregnancy. Apparently that's supposed to be a funny statement if you're not the one who's pregnant at the time!

I also heard my own heartbeat on the Bebe sounds monitor. I'm sure it's perfectly normal.

    Try not to hurt him!

hehehe--- they thought I was having twins when I had Doug- nope only one baby and low placenta which from the way it implanted. . . made be appear bigger.

and they thought I was having twins with Deana. . . . . wrong again. . . one very tiny girl and one very large tumor got to share the uterus throughout the pregnancy. . . but all turned out well.

Well Missy~ I'm just going to keep my mouth shut on the whole twins issues since I did end up having twins after getting bigger faster with my second pregnancy than my first! Hang in there Sweetie, you'll most likely be able to show big Erick and little Erick that you are only having 1 more baby this time!

    Well Missy,
I'm not the person to ask that question since I've only been pregnant twice and I did have twins the second time. I tend to show early anyway...

Missy - I m pretty sure you are just suffering from third baby syndrome - your body knows what to do and its just puffing up for it - especially as little as you are normally ! Are there any twins in your family, or in his? Did you take any fertility drugs?? Oh no, you didn't eat any beef jerky during this pregnancy did you?? :surprise:

We will all be waiting for that update Missy after your appointment. In the meantime don't hurt Erick to bad, after all if it is what he say's it is (don't worry I won't mention the "t" word directly) then an extra set of hands will come in handy around the house. (Notice I didn't say's an extra set of legs )
