    Default when you found out you were expecting...

    How soon did you start buying things for the baby? Picking out names or other things related to the baby?

    We have already started looking at furniture and I've bought a couple of bibs and onesies. I was just so excited!!!

    I'm glad we have started now on choosing names since we can't decide on one yet!!

    Uh, before I ever got pregnent...lol.... I was soooo happy to be finally having a baby... I started buying things right away....

    As far as the name thing.... we had decided if it was a boy that we would name him after dh's brother that passed away...so the middle name was decided...but I was about to give birth before we came up with his first name....

    I didnt' start buying anything for baby number one until after my baby shower.
    Baby number 2, after my baby shower and the weekend before my due date! LOL

    Names??? with ds we were still debating as i'm being carried through the parking lot.
    with dd, I finally gave up and dh named her about 2 weeks before she was born.

    The moms started buying about the end of the first trimester. We had a baby shower last weekend and with those gift cards and Christmas giftcards and money we bought the crib and I ordered the bedding items I hadn't recieved yet online with the gift card my dad gave us. We really only have the changing table/dresser combo left to buy.

    Congrats Daphne! I am so excited for you and Malcom!

    I started buying baby things as soon as I found out I was pregnant. I was working full time and knew that I would not have much down time before our first child was born...when we found out we were having tiwns, I started buying double of everything!

    Pretty much when we found out we were preg with ds. Why right off? Because it was easier for us to get things a little at a time than to wait and have to get everything all at once. With each dd and this pregnancy, we have bought as we found replacements for the things we wore out with last child.

    With ds I waited until I knew everything was ok. With dd, I bought a little ealier. I haven't bought anything but a pack of diapers yet with this one.

    Well, we put things off too long. We were waiting until after my shower to buy most things-- as it turned out, the shower was two days before she was born (7 weeks early). So, DD came home & slept in the family room for the first few weeks until we could go buy her furniture and do her room.

    I had bought a few little things before that~ and we did have the names picked out. We started working on names right away and had only decided shortly before she arrived.

    Have fun~ picking out all that stuff is great! Congrats!
