34 week check up
I had my Dr.s appointment today. He said everything was still looking good, and the baby is in the right position. All he's really done the last few weeks is check the baby's heartbeat and measure me to see how I am doing. He (along with my husband, co workers and frequent customers at work) said.....You have started getting big the last few weeks haven't you.....lol
He asked if I had any problems with anything and I told him that I was at the point were I just can't get comfortable at night no matter how tired I am and said that was God's way of preparing me for not sleeping at night (or at least all thru the night) the next 3-6months.
I also went and pre-registered with the hospital. Little by little over the next 6 weeks we are going to make payments there to go towards the deductible so we can have that out of the way. The insurance covers 80% after we pay in the deductible. I also went to the maternity floor. They showed me the waiting room, the nursery and then took me into one of the birthing rooms to show me where I would be as long as I don't have to have a c-section. It was quite nice.
I still can't believe I only have 6 weeks left
I go back to the Dr. in 2 weeks which also happens to be Joe's birthday, and then after that I start going every week. He said as far as he was concerned I could work up until my water breaks if I wanted to, other people have suggested that I take the last week off and do nothing but sleep 24/7 until she comes since I won't be getting much rest after that.

Glad the appointment went well Kat. I can't believe you only have 6 weeks left--wow--where did the time go?

Kat! It's almost time for you to hold your daughter in your arms!!!!
I'd vote for taking the week off before you give birth, you are going to be some uncomfortable trying to be on your feet all day and youa re going to need your rest and strength.

The time does go by fast, pretty soon you will have that baby in your arms.
As for when to stop working I stopped early (a month before my first was born and I was only 12 week along with the triplets I was high risk and had to stop) but just take it as you feel I know people who stopped a couple weeks early and people who went to work up untilt he day the baby was born so it is all about what and how you feel.

So glad to hear everything is coming along great! I can't believe you only have 6 weeks left. What a wonderful day that will be, holding your precious wee one in your arms. Wishing you all the best Kat in these next few weeks and yes I'd take a week off!
Rest when you can.

Wow Kat - your little doll baby is almost here. The time has really flown by. I'm hoping that you and her will both have an easy time of delivery. As for the sleep, well dd is 11 and I'm still hoping to get a good nights sleep one of these days. Hope your little one is good sleeper.

Hang in there, Kat. I've BTDT with not being comfortable no matter where I was or what I was doing. Pretty soon it will be worth all the discomfort to be holding your baby in your arms

I applaud that dr. for telling you to sleep 24/7 for a week, you surely will need the rest and won't have a chance to catch up for about 18 yrs. or so.
I'd jump on that deal if I were you. Glad it's all going well, Kat. Surely won't be long now.

Yay, Kat~ glad to hear everything is looking good. Believe it or not, almost as soon as you deliver you will forget about all these uncomfortable nights~ and many of my friends have even said that they forget what labor felt like after a while. It will all be worth it when you're holding that precious baby!
