38 week check up
Everything was still looking good. The heart rate was back up to around 150 (it was in the 130's the last 2 weeks) and she is still very active. The nurse laughed and said it looks like she wants to come out and I told her that was fine with me....lol
She's dropped somewhat so I am getting sore in my lower tummy and pelvic area. Next week they are going to do an ultrasound to take a guess at her weight and to make sure that I will be able to deliver without having to have a c-section.
As far as my group B strep test goes, it came back positive but I've known more people that have had a positive test than a negative one so it doesn't bother me. The dr. said that the only downfall is if I wanted in and out of the hosptial quick that it would be okey for me, but the baby has to stay 2 day's and most new moms won't check out until they can take the baby with them which is what I plan on doing. Besides my insurance allows for 3 day's with a regular birth and 5 day's with a c-section so staying 2 day's won't be a problem.

Kat, so happy to hear everything is going good. She is just "kickin'" to see her Mommy and Daddy. I wish you all the best over the next few weeks, I know how excited you must be, what a special time for you and Joe.

One of the girls I work with moved close to where I live and said anytime I just wanted to take a quick nap or a shower or run to the store that she would stay here with her and I didn't have to give her a dime (as long as I have rice krispie treats around as well as cable and internet...lol)

Woo Hoo Kat, not long now! Take it easy. Gosh after the first two kids, I see hospital time as my own personal "get-away" lol. Why? because they help ya in there, they bring stuff to YOU, they fluff and cluck over you. They bring ya goodies (sponsored by efamil or similac new mom gifts) and if you hurt, they bring you somethng for that, etc etc. Not to mention the visitors you get bearing little goodies. I got more chocolate that way...
take advantage of that time.

Sure am, lol. The nurses act like personal bouncers too. They will make sure i don't have visitors when I am not up to it, or when I just wanna be left alone. It's great!
And besides, the chocolate is great!
