Update
Well Malcom and I have been busy "nesting". This past weekend we cleaned out the apartment and set up the bassinet and organized things for the baby. We are having to be very creative in how we set things up because we have a VERY small apartment. But we will deal with it - we are moving two months from today - not a big deal. I'm just looking forward to having a whole bedroom devoted just to the baby.

A couple of days I've had some strong BH contractions and a lot of swelling (mainly in my right foot/ankle). It causes a lot of discomfort and I plan to ask my OB at the next appt why it seems only my right foot swells and my left foot doesn't.
I've also had a lot of numbness and strong pain mainly in my left arm and hand. From reading articles it seems like it might be carpal tunel but I'll ask the doctor about it. It wakes me up many many many times throughout the night so with that and having to use the bathroom I'm up a lot. I am really getting prepared for the sleepless nights when Jacob gets here.
We are very anxious and excited to meet our little man and feel like it's years away. But we know he will be here sooner than we think.
I have my bag and Jacob's bag packed and I think I pretty much have everything. If I find out I need something then our apartment is only 3 or 4 blocks from the hospitial so it's not a big deal for a friend to swing by here. I'll continue to keep you updated - we have any appt next Tuesday.

So exciting, you'll be holding your little guy before you know it.
Keep those feet up!

He'll be here soon!
Carpal tunnel is common in pregnant women from what I've read-- and it also seems that it disappears for many women after the baby is born. I hope yours does, too!

Re: Update
My right leg & foot were a lot more swollen then my left as well. However (even though I hate them and alway's rufused to wear them) wearing panty hose did seem to help with the swelling. In fact, my leg & foot were still swollen for a few weeks afterwards (the dr. said that was normal). I started wearing the hose a lot under my jeans when I went out (for one thing if I wore socks I couldn't get my shoe to lace up....lol) and with in a few day's of constantly wear the support hose and elevating my leg when I wasn't up and down making bottles it seemed to go down with in no time at all.Originally posted by Daphne

oh I meant to say, when Joe and I asked him why just the right, he said more than likely due to how the baby was laying. Also he said that as long as there were no signs of a possible blood clot that he wasn't worried.
