Did you keep any of your kid's baby items as keepsakes for them?
Yes I did. I kept a dress of dd's along with a couple of her toys she loved to play with. I kept a stuffed bear ds#1 birthmom gave him along with a couple toys. Unfortunately when we got ds#2, he had no baby keepsakes.

DD has a rubbermaid bin that we're keeping things in for her. Each baby will have one. Her's has her coming home outfit, hospital bracelet, knit hat from the hospital, newspaper from the day she was born, the "It's a Girl!" banner the hospital hung on the door, etc. DH was adopted and has none of that so it was really important to him that our kids have their history.

I have all their first shoes, and one outfit that they all wore. I also have a few of the blankets and bibs. We have dh's Christening outfit, and shoes. I am hoping to be able to pass them down to our grandkids. (a long ways off I hope!)

Their dedication dresses, hospital bracelets, hospital caps, foot prints, etc. They're still young so they still carry blankies, I'll probably save those too, if I can. I've thrown very little away and most things are already scrapbooked.

I kept a couple of outfits and a special white crocheted blanket that he came home in. I also have the baby blanket that I made for him. It has the "Now I lay me down to sleep" prayer in the center and angels around the outside. I embroidered the entire thing and machine quilted it. My son used it and then he loaned it to my sister when she had her first baby (my nephew and my son share the same birthday 8 years apart) and it was finally returned about 5 years later after my niece was finished with it. I found it the other day and thought that I should embroider their names and birthdates in the angels and have it as an heirloom.

Kept most everything that has already been stated.. Hospital hat, bracelet, blanket, out fit for each, a crocheted dress my aunt gave to my oldest dd when she was born... I also have any of the homemade blankets/quilts that my family made each of them. I have for sure dd#1's "cow cow", that she could never let go of for almost two years... The boys were never to clingy to anything, but there are a few stuffed animals I will keep for them.. DD#2 is still little enough, all I have is a couple of outfits, since she still uses her blankies and favorite toys.... I keep everything.....

I have the hat they were given in the hospital, their first shoes, a set of clothing and their first rattle. I also have Richard's first blanket because it was quilted by DH's grandmother. He is the only one she was able to make one for.

I made her a quilt out of her baby clothes for when she turns sixteen, it is preserved.
She still uses her blankie at night.
