Did you have used furniture or new for first baby?
We had all new. We went into debt to get it.

New, but we saved up for it so no debt either time. I looked at yard sales and consignment stores here and everything was just in disgusting shape.

We bought a new crib but paid cash. Borrowed a bassinet and used the top of my dresser as a changing table. Her clothes were also in my dresser. Everything else was given to us at my shower.

I gave $20 for a crib, mattress and dresser at a used furniture store 13+ years ago. The crib was missing a couple of hooks that held the bottom, but a machinist friend of mine made them for me for nothing.

All used except for the cradle her grandfather made for her, which, sadly enough, she never once slept in.

My mother bought us a new crib. We bought a rocker. Everything else we already had. We used a desk as a changing table by putting one of those changing pads on top. We used my old baby dresser as a dresser.
Patrick got everything once Julia grew out of it, and this time around, since Patrick is still in the crib, we borrowed a crib from a friend for the baby.My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

A combo of used and new but we didn't buy any of it, it was all given to us. My great uncle made a cradle for Isabel but, just like Kimberlina, neither of my girls ever slept there.
Several women at our church gave us a pack 'n play which was a lifesaver to us. My parents gave us a new rocking chair. Other than that it was all used hand-me-downs.
