Cool Can't believe it, my clothes are getting tight already

...which is really weird, since I've lost eight pounds so far in this pregnancy due to my illness.

Apparently my body weight is shifting, though, because as of yesterday my jeans were uncomfortable enough to make me go dig out some elastic-waist pants from my maternity clothes box.

Last pregnancy I lost 17 pounds, and hardly needed maternity clothes at all (delivered at 33 weeks), so I really wasn't expecting this!

I guess this is the one time in life when we can celebrate instead of groan at the prospect of clothes getting too small, right?

Amy, I had to dig out my maternity clothes *LAST WEEK*! I'm not due 'till the first week in October. 9 weeks along today!

I showed early with Miss K, too.

I haven't gained weight, yet, but my belly has begun to pooch out. I look like maybe 5 months.

AND, I despise my maternity clothes.

It's hard to answer the how far along question when you're so early & much bigger than you "ought" to be.

*SIGH!* Ah well, guess it's time we get used to it.

So nice to hear about growing humans. Life is still going on.

I had to get into maternity clothes at 2 months (my 1st) and people thought I was just eating too much. Well the 'too' part was correct- soon I discovered I was having 2 babies!!! Wouldn't that be wonderful!

I'm trying to remember that this is how it's supposed to work-- it would help if I liked my maternity clothes!

Now, at 15 weeks, I'm wearing maternity pants but still can wear most of my regular tops.

I never had to wear maternity clothes. I'm one of those lucky ones who's hips never got bigger and I carried high, so I could get by with wearing my low-rise size 2 jeans. And a lot of shirts that are in style for people my age are pretty blousy around the belly so I just wore those. I only gained 22 lbs with my pregnancy though.

Before people start chucking things at me--I would like to point out that I had horrible morning sickness for 4 solid months. I threw up every single thing, all day, every day.

It sounds to me like you had Hyperemesis, which is what I have.  I'm on a medication pump 24/7 and even with that I can't keep food down some days.

Just for that, I won't throw anything at you for not needing maternity clothes.

I was in full maternity clothes at 8 weeks! I looked as if I were carrying multiples.

I'm 8 weeks and so far, I have a few pairs of "snug" pants that I won't wear for a while, but I haven't started to think about maternity clothes (other than one outfit a co-worker gave me).

My husband thinks I'm definetly showing, (of course, he gets an up-close view!) but no one else does. Which is ok with me.

with the triplets by 20 weeks I looked like I could deliver any day :~) I loved the looks I got when people would make comments like you will pop any day and I would tell them I still had months to go.............
I never gained any real weight (2o lbs baby #1 and only 10 with the triplets) my belly got huge but no weight gain with the triplets they drained me of any fat I had :~)

Just enjoy and rember you need all the calories you can get :~)
