Default Anyone have separated stomach muscles during pregnancy?

I'm having a strange feeling in my abdomen as I recover from my c-section, and since I was so large, I can't help but wonder if this could be a separated stomach muscle. Everything I'm reading shows that it is common, but that I will never get my semi-flat tummy back as a result.

Anyone have any experience with this?

i did each pregnancy/c-sect. in my case it'll never go back the way it was ...or anywhere near. But i have read and the doc has told me that had the muscles not been cut so badly durning my first c/s (emergency...was a huge mess) and had it gone normally my chances for a flatter tummy would have been much greater.

I have abdominal wall damage. It is REALLY bad. I am thin but for the rest of my life I will have this incredibly saggy skin/tummy and just strange stomach. No amount of crunches will help, only a tummy tuck, which i will not do.

My c-sections were both vertical incisions, from my belly button to my pubic bone. The first one was especially bad (*huge mess* is a very accurate description for mine as well). So even though I have always had a pretty flat tummy (still at my old age!) it is the first place I gain weight and get flabby due to such poor muscle tone. I'm assuming you have a horizontal bikini cut? I know a lot of women get kind of a flap/tummy after those. (my sister does)
Take it easy and don't overdo during the healing process....(I know...how silly to say when you have two other little ones!)
