Got to hear the baby's heartbeat!
Ok, I'm just really excited by this. I had my first appointment with the doctor this Monday. I got to hear the baby's heatbeat! It was just such an overpowering experience - like my mind finally stopped thinking "ok, I'm pregnant" and started thinking "Wow, there's actually another living human being inside me!" It somehow just made the baby seem that much more real to me.
Just wanted to share my enthusiasm!Loving wife to DH (8/31/03) and Mommy to Owen Alexander (9/20/06) and Oliver Andrew (5/25/12)

Aawww that's so exciting Sara. I'm thrilled for you. Even though it's been years and years (my youngest is 23) I can remember exactly how I felt. Enjoy every moment of this special time in your life.

Isn't it the most wonderful sound? I cried each time I heard my kids' heartbeats. It's one of the best memories.

I totally got the goose bumps and such with each child.... DS#2 gave me a scare though... I wasn't as far along as I thought, and we had to do an emergency ultrasound.. Then we saw the little bugger zooming all over, and the doctor was soooo relieved, as well as me..... I was only like 8-9 weeks not the 11-12 I had thought.
