Due Date UPDATE
The doctor had originally set my due date for June 3rd. On Friday, he told me that he would induce my labor on May 19th IF I don't go into labor before then.
WHY? I asked. His response was since I have lupus and since I'm past 34 weeks, the closer I get to 40 weeks pregnant, the more dangerous it is for me. He also told me that I could go into labor before May 19th!!
I'm excited to know that I'm getting my baby early and that my doctor knows a lot about lupus and pregnancy. It makes me much more comfortable!
Since Friday, I've been having contractions. 3 an hour today! When I called the doctor's office, they told me to come in if I have 4 an hour. This baby may be here before I know it!
Thanks for listening, just wanted to share!

Best wishes, dear. I agree, it's great your doctor knows what he's doing.

Thank you all for your blessings.
For the evening, the contractions have subsided and as my mom and I suspect, it may just be Braxton-Hicks for now.
However, I'm going to ask my doctor when I see him again on Wednesday if I can get off work. I have paid time to take off and still have plenty of time after the baby is born too! I can't wait!

I hope that baby comes soon, and on his own!

I'm glad to hear that your doctor is paying close attention.

And the doctor said....
BED REST!!!
I'm so excited because I've been working for seven years and this is the first time that I get such a huge break off work!!
That gives me 3 and a half weeks until baby is born, then at least 13 more weeks with baby! And it's all paid leave time. Since I've been working this job, I've been saving my sick and vacation time!
Honestly, I'm still in shock that I don't have to get up in the morning at 5AM!! It's weird and kind of surreal. It's like thinking about eternity. Just can't comprehend it right now.
