Cloth diaper recommendations?
I've been looking around the web this morning and wondering if anyone has any cloth diaper recommendations. I'm planning on going with the All-In-Ones.
When I originally looked in Feb, there was a brand called Little Lambs that seemed pretty good. Now, they've closed up shop on eBay, and their website doesn't seem to be working right now.
I also looked to see what Babies R Us had since I got talked into doing a registry their - they have Kooshies and Bummies. I'm not inclined towards the "Bummies" because they have diapers AND covers, and I'd really rather just have one thing to worry about!
Does anyone have any recommendations as to what brand or kind worked best for you? This is my first baby, and I don't think I've ever changed a diaper in my whole life!Loving wife to DH (8/31/03) and Mommy to Owen Alexander (9/20/06) and Oliver Andrew (5/25/12)

I was actually going to recommend Little Lambs. I didn't know they weren't selling them anymore. I bought all of mine second-hand. I just made sure I sanitized them and sun-bleached them before using the first time. You may still want to consider them if you don't mind buying second-hand.
I personally don't like the big-brand ones- I don't think they are as well made as the WAHM ones. I have a large variety of different diapers, and the LLs are my favorite. I also liked another brand that I don't think you can buy anymore- I don't remember the name right now and am baking so can't go digging through the diaper box to find out what they are.

FWIW, you are probably better off with 2nd hand LLs anyway, as I've just read some pretty horrible reviews of the customer service provided by the owner.

You're probably going to laugh at this...but I have found that making diapers from tshirts & sweatshirts have worked the best for us. when garage saling, you can pick up some cheap shirts(one without logos work best) and with a little time, sewing the raw edges together in a zig zag stitch(you cut straight across the shirt under the arms, making a square), you can have a dozen diapers that are extremely absorbent for as little as $1.20(.10 cents a shirt). Although I have had to use quilter's pins instead of the regular diaper pins(they go through the cloth much better), the shirts make the best diapers that we've ever used.

If you go to diaperpin.com there is a product review section and a directory of where to buy with reviews. My favorite AIO I have is a Magic-All. It's a trim as a disposable. I also have some Bumkins AIOs that are nice. They're velcro so DH likes them. I really like pocket diapers too. It's easy to stuff them to meet your child's absobancy needs. We have Wonderoos and Fuzzibunz. I like both but want to try a bumGenius since it's velcro...again, for DH.
I mainly use prefolds or fitteds with covers at home. Sometimes even flats. I save my AIO/pockets for outings. Even though I've got a decent selection, I'll break even in diapering when DS is 16ish months. And ever other baby (we plan on 2 more, at least) will be basically diapered for free.

i used little lambs and i liked them, i just got rid of all mine too.
i also bought some wool covers from grateful bunz. she makes great wool covers but i think she is overcharging now, i use to get them for 10.00 to 12.00 from her. bummer. fuzzi-bunz are good. prowraps are the worst!!!!
bummis are ok
i think ALOT depends on the actual diaper, i bought chinese prefolds, i cheaped out and bought gerber prefolds and nothing but leaks and they fell apart in no time! my chinese prefolds were super absorbant and they lasted!
i also bought a few snappis, those are good for summer for just a daiper no cover, no pins.
i ONLY bought my dipes at ebay, never any those fancy online dipe stores.
