She's here! Elizabeth Jean is here!
MY dr had put me on the induction list because of my latent labouring going on 3 weeks. that was August2, for either the 4th or 5th. Well the call never came from the hospital. I was ready to DIE! Then of course that spiralled into the depressed and not caring anymore.
Had ym check up on monday the 7th. woohoo dialated to a loose 4cm! wow, at that rate I am dialating a cm a week....
she sent me home.
Tuesday I woke up feeling absolutely FABULOUS! nothing hurt and I was in a good mood! *gasp* I got lots done and was just great! then 11:30.....
I GOT THE CALL! YIPPEE YAHOO~ then I freaked out! she's coming TODAY! I got over that though quick enough.
Called dh and said lets go! come on home! called mom and told her - she was meeting us at the hospital to take my girls to their farm for the day (would have gone back to ours if it was later in the night).
Off we went. Met mom and did the farewell. wow that was strange! walking into the hospital feeling GREAT - knowing that we're going in to have a baby.
I went to the womens specialty and they took me directly over to the L&D. that was cool! no waiting. changed into gown and got IV hooked up. chatted with the nurse who was AWESOME! a real grandmotherly type. It was funny, not being in labour and chatting away felt really surreal.
all hooked up

2:15 water was broken, I was still allowed to be up and wandering around - which was strange as I was in active labour the last 2 and didnt' get to walk around after my water was broken.
here's dh just waiting

3:25 - A CONTRACTION! a REAL CONTRACTION!
the nurse monitored me and upped the cyntocin to get things moving.
6:15 GIVE ME DRUGS! this hurts! they had me go to the bathroom to empty bladder - totally different than the first 2. and boy I really used dh this time, my most comfortable postition was hugging him.
ahh...epidural. didn't take too well....evidently with subsequent labours it doesnt work as well. but it took the edge off and enough of the pain that I could stand it.
8:14 (love the time stamp on digital pics) - about to be checked for progress.

8:21 here's baby.

it was really neat. the nurse had me lay on my side and pull my knee to chest. try to push. well.....the dr only had time to put her gloves on and sit on the end of the bed. and there she was! I didn't get to hold her right away as I was shaking really bad and dh wouldn't let me have her. he was basking inthe daddy euphoria.
I felt everything, it hurt but not really. I am really thankful that I got to experience it the way i did, knowing that this one is definitley our last.
the nurse had me do skin on skin for a while and then straight to nursing.
