    Default hello-been some time now

    Hello frugal village folk,

Ive been absent from this site for awhile and decided tonight to jump on and visit.

I am currently 6 months pregnant with my second child, a boy!I am very pleased though would be just as happy if I were having another little girl.

The pregnancy is going well and have not have any complications or much difficulty -so far so good.I am due january 26, two days before my birthday.I will most likely have a repeat cesearean, unless the powers that be decide otherwise.

My daughter Kira knows mommy has a baby in her tummy, but I am not sure if she realizes that the baby willcome out and be her little brother!

Kira is flourishing, is doing so well. She communicates well, has a good vocabulary and I understand her most of the time. She is very coordinated and it looks like she will be a soccer player like mommy and daddy were.(she is so good with kicking a ball and even aiming it towards a person or the fence.)She is very sweet and warms quickly to people.I am truly blessed.

My husband Jay is back at work after 9 months of being on injured reserve(workmans comp), and we are back at full salary. We have paid back 10, 000 of our debt with my fathers help and have literally reduced what we owe by more than half. With the settlements we made, we went from being 30,000 in the red to now owing a little less than 10,000,which is actually a debt we feel we can manage. We had considered bankruptcy for a time, but since my father had had accounts for us in mutual funds that were in my name as well as his,it was not something we could do without dragging my father into it, which would be bad. After consideration of our situation, my father liquidated the assets in my name and gave us the funds to pay the debt.We now can afford rent and pay our bills as well as the general living expenses, where before we were struggling to keep our heads above water.

we now are looking to buy a house with my in laws, a two family, so that we all may help each other own a home and have family with us still. We are looking in suffolk county on long island where I havelived most of my life.Things are finally looking up.

I wish everyone well, and have a good evening-

    patty

Welcome back!!!!!!! It was great to read you're post and see the words Suffolk County. (HOME) I haven't officially lived there in 14 something years but I go back frequently. It's strange how where you grow up seems to mean home forever.....even if you end up living somewhere else longer. Anyway I lived in Suffolk County for almost 20 years. My husband grew up on the island too. We're actually headed up that way again for Thanksgiving with his sister. I'll tell ya what I've drove the Penn. Turnpike so many times I could probably recite the exits. Enough rambling, Congradulations on the upcoming #2!!!
