Default braxton hicks for ten weeks arrrggghhh!

    hi ladies-

Ive been experiencing false labor symptoms for ten weeks now, and quite intense ones for three days now.I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and soooo uncomfortable!I feel I no longer know my body, for I have been fooled into thinking I was in labor three times at least now.I am thinking Ill know when my water breaks!Sorry to whine, Im just not sleeping well anymore, and have been on and off probably no fun to be around, although I am feeling pretty clear headed and anxiety free.My c section is scheduled for wednsday this week at 7:30 am.(I am counting down the minutes!!)Ive been a bit MIA from the forums of late and I do apologize, but I havent had much chance tobe online-DH is still home from his injury(workmans comp are really dragging their feet this time for his mri!!)and when I have a free moment usually he is online....(do I hear another whine?)heehee.

Actually I am in very good spirits, am looking foward to holding my son, just wish these contractions would go somewhere productive or just quit!!

    anyway,thanks for letting me rant!!

    Patty

I'm sorry you're uncomfortable & not getting much sleep. That combo can really drain you and you definately have whiners rights.
Hang on, it's almost time! You take good care & hope to hear some baby news soon.

Aaww those last few weeks are sooo miserable. Hang on, it's not long now until Wednesday. Just try to ignore the contractions until you can't anymore .

~Those Braxton-Hicks can be vicious! And stress will make them worse. I actually preferred the cramps and contractions of true labor over BH. But I had back labor with my two so I could tell the difference in the pain. Just hang in there. It will be over soon! ~

I know, those braxton hicks are pesty! When I was pg w/ Zachary, I had them for hours on end then they would putz out. My midwife suggested that I take cauliphyllum, It is homeopathic & you take about 3-5 little pellets evry 1/2 hr till the bottle is empty. About an hr. after I finished the bottle, my labor kicked in & the next morning we had a baby. Cauliphyllum will 'even out" those contractions.Since you are 38 weeks, you can go into labor safely.
I wish that I had known about cauliphyllum a long time ago...I have had some of my babies play tricks on me with the braxton hicks
If you don't want to take the cauliphyllum, then another trick would be to take 2 tylenol & sit & relax in the bath tub...i've had labor kick in this way too. Hugs to you...it won't be much longer & you'll have that baby in your arms

I can sympathize. I'm 34 weeks now and I feel like I'm going to have a permanent back ache between now and when this baby is actually born! I've had some strong Braxton Hicks as well but nothing serious. Hang in there - it's almost over!

thanks so much for the support and ideas!I have one full day to go til the section,My DH is here so I get to take naps(spoiled spoiled...)so the sleep isnt too bad, and the braxton hicks seem to let up in the early morning hours so its really usually only during the evening and night. The pressure tonight is unbelievable though!!This little guy is making his presence known!!My daughter was a breeze by comparison, I labored with her for 18 hours, no morning sickness no braxton hicks, then they found she had turned overnight and was an emergency section,a walk in the park!Im actually real nervous about the next surgery I had hoped and hoped for a vbac but it isnt going to happen.....But the time is almost here when Ill have my new baby!!Good luck to you girls who are expecting as well,I think that tylenol bath idea sounds great just for the relief of relaxing after a day of chasing my little girl!!Thanks again-

With my last 2, seems almost as soon as we found out baby was on the way those nasty things started. I was miserable. I know they had told me to drink allot of fluid, preferably water, somehow can affect things. I was also seeing a homeopathic(I think that is a word, ha, ha), chiro. and she told me to drink lots of rasberry tea, of course, I was determined to put myself into labor BEFORE my due date 12/25 so, I guzzled that like no tommorrow. Sarah had other plans and came on 12/25.
Not too much longer for you and these last few weeks are the hardest. SOon you will be holding your little budle of joy
