Ani, we're on pins and needles!
We'd all love to hear how you and the newest little one are doing...plus we'd love to read the birth story!

I know with my C-Section, I was in the hospital for 3 nights (I think 2-3 is "normal") - she'll hopefully be back SOON!! I can't wait to hear all the stats

I've been thinking about her too!
I think she was scheduled to have the baby on April 30th. She'll probably be checking in within a few days ~ can't wait to hear how it went and see her "little man's" pic!

I was thinking of her all day on the 30th. I believe that's the day the C-section was going to happen. I hope she and baby are doing well. I can't wait to hear how it all went. I bet she's loving being a new mommy.

I'm sorry I didn't see this thread sooner! I posted a thread in General a few days ago with the birth stats etc.
The "little" guy ended up being 11 lbs and 4 oz with the biggest head the nurses at the hospital had ever seen. There was NO way he was getting out of me alive any way other than a C-section. It was a comforting confirmation that the C-section could not have been avoided.
As for the C-section...I don't mean to scare anyone, but it was a really miserable experience. I just about lost it on the operating table with that oxygen mask over my face. I seriously thought I was going to die, that I wasn't getting enough air etc. Once they took the mask off my face, I was fine, but they wouldn't take it off until after the baby was out. Then, in recovery, I was too shakey to even try to nurse my baby. I was able to hold him with pillows tucked around him and stuff, so that was nice. I am glad that I did the C-section as I really had no other choice if I wanted to get him out unharmed, and it was definitely worth it to have my beautiful little boy, but I wish that it hadn't been necessary.
The recovery has seemed long, but apparently I'm doing much better than most mothers that have C-sections, so that's encouraging. I'm up and around and basically back to normal now. I still have some pain, but it's not preventing me from taking care of my baby, and that's all that matters.
I love him so much and learn new things about him each day. It's so amazing how they have their own little personalities from the time they're born. I can't wait to continue to get to know him.

I hear ya on the C-Section being terrible! I was so shaking like crazy during mine too! I was really freaking out! THe worst part is that I totally felt them get Grace out of there (She'd been in the same position and down in a -1 station for HOURS and hours so she was slightly stuck.. eww! The tugging!!!!!)
I am soooooooo glad you're starting to feel good!!!!!!!!!!! Remember to take it easy as much as you can and cut yourself some slack! You just had a baby AND you just had MAJOR abdominal surgery! Plus you have a big boy to take care of.
I always hated reading the literature form the hospital bc it advised against lifting anything over 10lbs for the first 6 weeks - well HELLO Grace wasborn 9lb9oz.. LOL What was I SUPPOSED to do!?
I can't wait to follow along in your journey with your new little miracle! Please post more pictures as you get some! What does DH think about your new sweet boy?

Oh wow...sounds like quite an...adventure?!?
My last ultrasound was about 6 weeks ago and he was already 4lbs...I still have 5 weeks left to go!!
My son was 8lbs 2oz two weeks early, so I have a feeling this one is going to be a big one too.
Anyways, hopefully I don't have to have a c-section.
Glad to hear you're doing good...that's all that matters.
CONGRATULATIONS and take care!

Oh totally! The doctor came in to talk to me when he discharged me, and he said "usually we tell people not to lift anything over 10 lbs, but since your baby is 11 lbs, I'll just say not to lift anything heavier than him" lol. Too funny.
Thanks for the sweet comments everyone.
