    Default NEW & PREGNANT

    HI
IM TAMMY I HAVE BEEN LURKING ON HERE FOR ABOUT A WEEK I GUESS I HAVE REALLY ENJOYED THIS SITE

I HAVE ONE SON WHO WILL BE 3 IN DECEMBER HE WAS A PREMIE AND I HAVE HAD HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE EVER SINCE, I HAD PRECLYAMSIA WITH HIM TOO

I HAVE BEEN MARRIED 3 YEARS THIS JUNE. I WAS JUST FIRED FROM DMV BECAUSE OF MISSING TIME DUE TO WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A GALBLADDER ILLNESS...TURNS OUT LAST NIGHT I DID A PREGNANCY TEST AND I AM PREGNANT FOR THE SECOND TIME.

THIS WAS NOT PLANNED AND I VERY UPSET AND LOOKING AT OPTIONS THAT ACTUALLY SCARE ME...MY HUSBAND STARTED A NEW JOB = NO INSURANCE, AND WHEN IT DOES START ISNT PREGRNANCY CONSIDERED EXISTING CONDITION?? I WOULD GUESS TO BE CLOSE TO 3 MONTHS WE DONT QUALIFY FOR MEDICAID MY HUSBAND MAKES $20 AN HOUR AND IM HOPING TO GET UNEMPLOYMENT WHICH IS SOME WHERE AROUND 120 A WEEK. I WAS SURE WE WOULD BE OKAY BUT NOW IF I DECIDED TO GO THROW WITH THIS THATS A LOT MORE MONEY AND SPACE.. I HAVE 2 BEDROOM UPSTAIRS, MY 2 YEAR OLD WONT GET OUT OF MY BED (NEVER DO THAT AGAIN) AND I HAVE 2 ROOMS DOWNSTAIRS A PLAY ROOM AND OFFICE/DOG ROOM..I BREED YORKIES

IM NOW TRYING TO CATCH UP THE UTILITIES FROM A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO...MONEY WOULDNT BE SO TIGHT IF I DIDNT HAVE A BANKRUPTCY PAYMENT OF 523 EVERY MONTH, THATS KILLING ME BUT I THINK I ONLY HAVE 2 YEARS LEFT ON THAT..

AND I HATE THIS KEYBOARD THE SPACE BUTTON IS STICKY AND I HAVE TO SLAM IT DOWN TO WORK

    Hi Tammy and

If you need help with paying your previous bills have your tried http://www.modestneeds.org they are great, I used them once for a oil tank fill.

What bout trying for county medical assistance? Anyway, your right things will work out for the better and good luck!

    Welcome to the Village.
Before you make any decisions, call the insurance company and ask them if this pregnancy would be covered. You may be pleasantly surprised. We were. My DH was starting a new job, I too was 3 months along and they covered both my medical bills but also the bills for the delivery of our second son. Call them, that's the only way you'll know.
Much luck to you, whatever you decide.

I don't think pregnancy can ever be considered pre-existing, but I may be wrong on that!

I would like to say WELCOME and I hope that you enjoy your stay here!! I love FV

    Hello all

thanks for the info and the welcome...im deffinately checking out modest.org, i just registered and now im going to look in to it, i feel weird looking for assistance i have never done that, and my husband refuses to that, i did check into an assistance program here but i needed cut off notices and i hadnt received those then, and i think we will catch up...cingular is the worse i chg the minutes one day and to 550.00 and my husband used 2200 minutes hisself so trying to paythat bill has been a moster, then we were late on rent so i felt bad about that, but looking at the budget today i think we will pull through...but the insurance is my main consern because im supposed to be on blood press meds, but the one i was prescribed i cant be on and be pregnant, but when i called the doc today the refused to chg unless i come in, i already have to bills from them now

Hang in there & do what you can and things will turn around. I agree with 3-boys-4-me to go ahead & call the insurance co. Need to know whats what before you can act on things.

    Hi & welcome.

Both of my kids were preemies, so I know that your pregnancy worries are going to stress you out, even without the other issues.

Take care of yourself & welcome to the village!

i dont know what state you are in, but in maryland where i am the state has insurance for pregnant women and children no matter what, sometimes if you make too much there is a premium but we are talking like 30 a month, i felt weird getting assitance with my first son, but it was a good decision and his delivery ended up costing us $10.

i know its hard buts its here if you need it, and if you have buget concerns i would encourage you to post them here cause these ladies know how to save some money

    welcome

Hi and welcome! I am glad that you found out that your insurance will cover the pregnancy, that's wonderful. That must be a huge load of stress off your shoulders.

I just had a new baby, so I recently went through the pregnancy experience myself. Try to take care and enjoy it!
