Boy would I like to copy that list but change it for adopters.
You wont believe the stuff people say....
Same thing with parenting a SN child.
or being on the low carb diet , or attending/not attending church, movies you see, shows your watch, books you read....
These days if you are ALIVE people feel the need to comment and give you their opinion on your life hahaha.
It's rude.
Funny how we never follow others around and comment on their lives?

I agree that the list is rude. I don't need a set of rules for pregnant people, as I couldn't care less.

While I would never pat a pregnant woman on the belly cause I think that's, well, not nice, this whole list comes across as well, kinda bassy! And if that's how you really think then fine but don't be suprised when you need help or want to take a break that those who you might ask to help or whatever turn you down. Karma and all that!

As for following people around and making comments, that's done on this board and other everyday!

Some people really do need rules.
Some crazy old lady tried to pull my shirt up in a restaraunt so that she could see my belly.....I slapped that wench's hand away so fast....stupid mother in law.McD

I think the attitude is very snobbish. I was one to never mind one touching my tummy, though. If people gave me unwanted advice it went in one ear and out the other, I'm good at tuning out what I don't want to hear. The woman who did the list needs to get a grip and possibly hit in the head with a teddy bear.

I do believe it was a tongue-in-cheek rather than the slap in the face set of rules some are taking it

*lol* exactly .. i think she was trying to make it a bit over the top so it would be funny.. but these really are things you deal with being pregnant.
Sometimes people make it seem like its a miraculious birth the way they have to give you advice and pat your belly.. luckily not many can tell im pregnant i just look fat and i don't inform them when they give me the Eww your a discusting fat person look *lol* Although i did have a friend tell me i needed to loose weight cause being so heavy was bad for my health when i was already loosing weight ( shortly after i stopped loosing weight ... got depressed about it.. then found out it was because i was PREGNANT *lol* ) I think sometimes people need to hold their tounge when they are talking to others.
Expecially the tummy feeling thing... my manager always comes up and smacks my belly not hard but hard enough to jar me ... its annoying and if im just having a bad day stomach wise really hurts.. she doesn't do it as hard anymore cause i told her sometimes it really hurts when she does that.Last edited by qtkitty; 02-24-2008 at 05:21 AM.

I LOVE it! I am not a touchy-feely person and it used to irritate me endlessly when complete strangers would rub my belly.
I am passing this on to a pregnant friend. She will roll with laughter!

Considering I am PG I love that list!
With my 1st PG, I had many strangers in the store just touch my belly and that freaked me out. I don't mind friends and family but a stranger has no right to touch me. Also most people have good experiences while PG well with me it was complete opposite, I had more door not held for me, and people seriously letting go of the door to a store and it hitting me. So to me these "rules" are great. I should send them on to my in-laws! HeeHee
