Not sure I'm following this correctly. The crank flashlights work great, but for short periods of time and then you have to keep cranking. I've never timed it as we usually crank them and walk to the bathroom at the campground.
But if you wanted them to add lighting to a building without using electric or use them while you are in the building for a half hour or more (I'm guessing at the time here, as it is probably less), then they wouldn't be very useful.
I'd research how long a solar light would last instead.

UPDATE-
I am not at all impressed with the Garrity we got at BigLots.
We bought it to use in the second part of the chicken yard for a few hours each morning. It does not last as long as we want it to. But then again, we maybe asking too much from it.
So maybe for regular use, it might be okay. We were using it off the charger. I don't think hubby liked the cranking part.
The chickens don't have a light in the second part now, just the main chicken coop. A regular light using a electric cord ( protected by a tube ) run high on the wall going between the 2 buildings.--------My signature--------

We have both. The radio is a Grundig and after 2 years of use is still working fine. DH uses it every morning while he makes coffee, we got it with a gift card at BB & B, and I don't remember how much it was.
The light is a CE? (No other names/letters on it that aren't a scale or something.) The idea was for it to live in the car to be used in emergencies. Not very useful at all, it needs to be wound continually, difficult if you're trying to change a flat tire! We have debated getting rid of it, but haven't, yet.
IHTH!

I'm not suppose to know (except for the fact that I paid for and wrapped) but Diva 'bought' The Old Man and I a 4 in 1 at Kmart for 14.99

-- wanted to add -- when Diva saw them at the store, she got all excited and said these are the things for us, because "you like to camp, and they are good for winter when the power goes out and it's useful" I am so proud of her...
*back to forgetting*
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!
