I walk about 5 km each day, often on icy sidewalks. I was introduced to these icers, and have found them to be perfect on hard smooth ice. An added advantage is there is sufficient traction to walk, without slipping, on hard surfaces without ice. I have tried various icers over the last five years and these appear to be the best. I got them on sale for $$2.99 (Bentley), probably due to being the end of the season. In Canada there are about 30,000 emergency room visits per year due to falls. Buy a pair!
