New woodpile
Feels good to have the start of a "new" woodpile and glad to find someone to supply us with this and 2 more cords. I was kind of worried that it would be super hard to find this late in the season. Things are looking up.

What's your woodpile look like?~*Darlene*~

Is the wood seasoned? It often isn't when you get it late in the season, then you have inefficient burning and creosote buildup/possible chimney fire. That's why I get my wood supply in the spring in the spring for the following winter's burning. Properly stacked it's ready in the fall.

I don't have a photo, but we have some, but not for primary heating. We don't have a wood stove...just two fireplaces. It's seasoned and just a face cord. It's stacked in our three-season porch against the garage wall. Nice and handy.

Yes, it's seasoned. Just wish we were burning the wood we worked so hard on (5 cords lost in flood, pic below), feels strange paying for wood but glad to find some.

Here's our woodshed. That's a two year supply, and we're already piling the third year's wood outside the shed.

Oh, that is a thing of beauty Keith. Nice place for the wood to hang out too.

We have a closet in the basement filled, leftover from last year. That will do about a month. Then we cut about 1 1/2 cords and bought a cord. I built a rack in the garage but it only holds about a cord, so I'm going to have to do something outside with the rest of it. Right now it is a pile in the driveway with a tarp over it.
Keith, love your setup.
I'm hoping for a short, warm winter
It was a busy year and our wood was cut way too late.

I am so glad others are getting ready early! Congrats! We currently have 10 rank on the yard with more to cut soon.

Hey Keith, your dry storage shed is so nice I thought I'd share a pic of ours. The old 2 seater lives on as a woodshed right across from the front door.

Ow-that hurts.

Wood is our only source of heat at the moment, so we already have a 2-3 yr supply, and plan to start cutting/splitting more soon. (Dh has RA that's getting worse, so we're trying to prepare for the times when he may not be able to cut wood. )
It's a nice feeling to look out and see all of that wood. I'm glad you were able to find some. (((HUGS)))
