Anyone have reccommendation for manual water pumps?
DH and I are looking into a hand pump as the next 'phase' of preparedness. Do you have any experience you could share? Brands/manufacturers etc?
Our well we would hook it to is 10-15 feet above kitchen level (on a hill), not more than 50 feet away, water level is within 6 inches of top, never more than 4 feet down.Vermont has two seasons: Wintah and the Fourth of July.

Yes - have looked at Lehman's - however looking around on the net DH has found a company out of Maine (kinda-local, I guess) Bison-something that has manual pumps cheap.

Check out Survive Economic Depression with our Off Grid Living Products!. I've been talking to them about a wood stove and I think they have manual pumps too. Great water table by the way!
