Exclamation Update on QuilterMom - Sept. 7th

This is part of an e-mail I received from a friend of QuilterMom's who has been in contact with her throughout. Please continue to pray for QM as this has got to be very overwhelming.

They left Georgia about 4:30 this morning and made it home in about 6 hours......much better than the 13 plus hours it took to leave!!!! They didn't run into any problems as far as traffic or road issues........She will have NO phone service until October 6th......believe it or not!!!!!! They are hoping to have electricity by Thursday but there is no guarantee that will happen. She says from what they can tell there was no damage to the inside of the house.......they were using flash lights and it was somewhat difficult to see.....they will no more later. She said the house smelled......everything in the fridge and freezer has to be thrown out and I am sure you know she only buys organic so that is a lot of expensive food that will need to be thrown away!! Most of her trees are down......a few survived but not many. Her garden is gone except she said she had some watermelon plants and 1 or 2 other things that made it through......everything else is gone. There is tons of water all around the property......her pond is overflowed and their dock is floating in the water right now. She seemed to be so overwhelmed by things.......I am sure there are other things she will discover in the days to come.

A bit more - she has asked that I thank everyone for your warm thoughts and prayers.

(They also suspect there is damage to their garage.)

I'm sorry for all of the overwhelming feelings she and her family & others are going through. Where to start? Wishing you strength and the ability to look to all the good things to help you through. You'll be in my thoughts.

Thanks so much for keeping us updated CJ and herQM's friend.

I'm just now reading this. I feel so badly for her. I had no idea that they had suffered so much damage. Praying that this next hurricane misses them and that they will be able to get their lives back to normal soon.

Praying for her. I think of her every morning with the news. I am praying this next hurricane blows it'self out before it hits land and it misses her.
