I have a couple of ones similar to this. . . we love them for camping, travel, and for those times when our electricity goes out for long periods of time.

I've seen crank radios that also have a solar charging system. I do not have the crank radio, but do have one that is solar charged. I keep in on my kitchen windowsill, and it is soooooo great when the power goes out --- or to grab on the way to the basement in tornado season..... Either one is a terrific device to have at home.

I have one that's a crank radio with a small flash light. I used to have a simple little solar powered flashlight that died on me. Sigh. But I do need to get the solar/crank flash light from a friend of mine. I loaned it to him a few months back and keep forgetting to ask for it back.
