I wasn't sure where to post this -- so chose this area.

In light of the gasoline crunch, are any of you stocking up on anything special? I'm figuring the oil "crisis" will affect just about every area of our lives since everything we buy has to be transported some way, and some things are made of petroleum products (plastic for instance).

I've got a pretty good stockpile of canned goods, and I'm planning to enlarge my garden this year to provide the fresh produce that I may not be able to afford at the store. I'm thinking I should stock up on plastic stuff -- baggies and trash sacks, etc. I understand that gasoline itself doesn't have a very long shelf life so you can't really horde it. I thought I might stash a good supply of lamp oil because I'm guessing it will increase in price (???). All speculation and guesses.....

I'm just curious what the rest of you think -- kind of a brainstorm session?
