    Default Bug out bags

I may have missed the thread, so forgive me if this is somewhere else...

    1. Do you have a bug out bag(BOB)?
    2. What do you use as your BOB?
    3. What do you put in the BOB?
    4. Where do you store them?
    5. Do you think EVERYONE should have one?

I have been thinking that I may need to create some, but I don't want to forget anything... Any ideas would be appreciated... Thanks

I am pretty sure there are some links in this thread with BOB info - http://frugalvillage.com/forums/show...threadid=47409

I did have BOB's made up for all of us after 9/11, but must admit that I haven't made them up again since we moved last year. I do think they are important.

    1. Do you have a bug out bag(BOB)?

Sort of - I have a travel bag of toiletries always ready to go, which doubles as my travel kit. I have a list of stuff to grab if I had to leave in a hurry.

    2. What do you use as your BOB?

    A make up bag.

    3. What do you put in the BOB?

It currently contains: toothbrushes, mini toothpaste, soap, shampoo, conditioner, travel sized deodorant, "one-step" wipes, mini sunscreen, my ventolin, bandaids, and packets of ibuprofen.

    4. Where do you store them?

    In the bathroom.

    5. Do you think EVERYONE should have one?

It's not a bad idea, but I think it's more important for people with kids, who may suddenly find themselves running off to the emergency room, for example. You'd want a BOB of diapers, snacks, medication lists, etc.

    My BOB list is:
    - a change of clothes
    - the bathroom makeup bag
    - my "office in a bag", if I thought I'd need it. It's an accordian folder with my tax info, receipts, bills, etc
    - my passport, birth certificate and credit card, which I keep in a safe place. I don't carry them around so that if I lost my wallet, I'd still have ID.

I'm better prepared to be locked in, rather than locked out.
