Boxed white cake mix & canned pumpkin- Recipes appreciated
Hi, I have a few cans of pumpkin that I want to use up. I have a boxed white cake mix and want to add to it one of the cans of pumpkin to make a dessert. What else do I add to it? Eggs, oil or spices? What sized pan do I use?
Thanks for all recipes using these ingredients.

Take the cake mix, pumpkin, 2/3rd cup water and about 1 - 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie mix (or some cinamon & nutmeg) and mix it all together. It will make about 24 muffins or 48 mini muffins. My kids LOVE these! I also add dried cranberries sometimes. YUMMY!

You don't have to add anything to it, its perfect just way it is. Add the pumpkin to the cake mix and bake acording to package directions. I make them all the time year round and eveyone loves it.

I too have made muffins with just these 2 ingredients (well, chocolate cake mix) and nothing else and it works wonderfully.

I'm taking a dessert to a friend's home tonight so I made these today and they look beautiful. They were also very easy to make and baked at 350F for about 17-18 mins. I added garam masala and mace to give it a warm flavor without adding as much sweetness as cinnamon.
I also had the makings for cream cheese icing and plan on decorating the tops with assorted flavors of candy corn which I'll decorate once there that way the 3 kids can pick their flavors or skip the icing all together.
I'm so eager to try one... I might only take 23 with me. LOLThe Free Spirit Saver who walks the path with Greebo.

I've made cupcakes using the same recipe as acidcookie... and they're very good. You do have a different 'flavor' that you just can't seem to figure out through the chocolate flavored cake mix, but these come out very moist. And besides, who needs the eggs and oil you would otherwise add to the cake mix?!

I made pumpkin pecan rum cakes today with boxed cake mix, a can of pumpkin and 1/4 tsp each of nutmeg and cloves, 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1 tsp of vanilla. Added in 3/4 cup of finely chopped pecans and baked according to directions.
For the glaze: 1/2 stick butter, 1/2 c sugar, 1/4 cup of rum. Stir over medium heat until melted and smooth.Use it up, Wear it out,
