Source for cheap Universal Studios tickets?
Does anyone have tips for getting a good discount for tickets to Universal Studios in Orlando? We need 5 tickets (for the first part of June), that adds up fast. Craigslist had a few possibilities, but lots of scammers as well. Do the groceries offer discounts? Anyone have any to sell or know someone who does? Thanks for any info. Also would my 12 yr old be considered a child ticket or an adult? TIA

Yes yes yes! You can get the 2 park unlimited for I think 79.99 a person; that gives you 7 consecutive days of useage. We did it last year and we only stayed 3 days, but it made it much cheaper than individual park tickets. The only catch is that you have to buy it ahead of time.

You can get discounted tickets if you buy in advanced.
Have you thought of going to a timeshare presentation? There are a ton of timeshares in Orlando and almost all of them offer either 2 free tickets to universal or disney or tickets for like $25. Most of them require you to sit through a 90 min sales pitch. Most of them also give you a free stay or discounted stay at the timeshare.
They will charge your 12 year old as an adult.

Do either you or your dh (or anyone you know) work for a large company? I work for a large retail chain and I can get a corporate discount.

Thanks for the advice, and thanks for the link Freesia. I did consider the timeshare thing, but Dh doesn't want to take the time to do it.
He has a hard time saying no anyhow, so that scares me a little. I hadn't thought about going the corporate route, Dh's company isn't huge, but who knows if not his, maybe a relative can hook us up...I'll have to check into that.
