Lightbulb What are the cost of the "staples" where you are?

What is the cost of ...

    dozen eggs (specify size)
    1L milk
loaf of bread (specify white / wholewheat)

I'm just curious to see the differences.

Doz Lg Eggs = $1.99 (can occasionally find 18 eggs for $1)
Milk - not sure, we get fresh milk delivered once a week - its pricey, but worth it - organic, no hormones - its something we chose to splurge on
Bread - 100% Whole Wheat Low Carb (low carb is the only kind I can find that doesn't have HFCS in it) $3.29 - we buy the exact same loaf at the bread outlet store for $1.09.

Lately I've been getting milk (any kind, 1%, 2%, etc) @ Kroger/Fred Meyer on sale 4 half gallons/5.00. We only use about 1/2 gallon a week.

Local organic eggs, 3.00-4.00 dozen. I paid 4.00 two weeks ago at the Framers Market and they are HUGE! Eggs last us 2-4 weeks.

Bread, I only buy one kind specifically for me, it's right at 2.00 loaf (lasts about 1-2weeks) but I see local bakery bread on special all the time for 1.00 loaf (the good grainy kind)

Eggs on sale for $1.50 a dozen, milk on sale for $3 a gallon, bread about $2.50. But here's the real clincher....a gallon of mazola corn oil goes for about $14..that's crazy!

EGGS: $1.35/dozen - large size (but we only buy them in the 18 ct. packs - current price is $2.02)

MILK: We buy powdered milk only so I have no clue what "regular" milk costs.

BREAD: I use Wonder brand white bread - $0.99 loaf, unless on sale then it is $0.79 per loaf.
DH and DD use only 100% wheat - $1.09 per loaf, unless on sale then it is $0.89 per loaf.
DS uses only honey wheat - $1.09 per loaf, unless on sale then it is $0.89 per loaf.

I normally get 80% of our bread at the sale price. If I make it to the bread store on Sundays I can get each of our brands/types of bread at the sale prices. Other days of the week it is a toss up as to whether it will be on sale or regular priced.

    Milk (skim) - 3.79 (costco 3.19)
    Eggs - 2.29
Bread - Don't know, bake my own

My brother had a court date in another county today so we left ridiculously early and had just sandwiches and drinks at MCDs. 4 regular breakfast sandwiches, 2 diet cokes, a sm. chocolate milk and an ice water - our total was over 15 dollars. That will never happen again. I nearly lost my frugal mind over that one.
