Complimenting Companies
Has anyone has any luck at writing to companies and complimenting them on their products? I've tried a few but have only got emails saying thanks for the compliment. Do any companies send you coupons? Please let me know if anyone has been successful?

If you want coupons, why not just ask for them? Write them and tell them how much you like their product(s) and ask do they ever send out coupons.

Next time I'm going to do that. Maybe say "I'd really like to try your product but right now my budget just won't handle it." I'll let you all know what they say.

Anytime I write or email I compliment the product, tell them how much my son or I love their product and ask if they would mind sending coupons so we could continue using their products.

I have done this with dozens of companies. All but 2 actually sent coupons!

I've had lots of luck doing this. I usually call the companies instead of write and I do it while I'm cooking dinner. If I don't multi-task around here I never get anything done since I have 2 small kids.
I just call the companies as I am using their product to cook. The phone number is almost always on the package of the item.
I also complain to companies if anything is wrong but never do it unless its true.

I don't remember about coupons, but once when I ordered some bouillon on line, I told them in the comments section that I had decided not to order again because of the cost (this was a second order), but it was so good that I decided I would anyway. They e-mailed their thanks and gave me free shipping.

I have emailed many companies asking for coupons or free samples. Many of them send coupons for free merchandise.
I compliment if I do like it, if I've never tried it, I say I never tried it but would like to. I've emailed companies twice now for complaints. Once to Wonder bread complaining about holes in the bread (very difficult to make PB&J with holes!) and they sent me 2 coupons for 2 free loaves of bread. The second was to L'oreal after I tried to dye my hair blond with one of their products and it didn't change my hair color at all. ( I have to use 2 bottles because my hair is so long and thick) They are sending me 2 gift certificates for 2 free products.
When you are emailing to complain, always tell them what you want done to resolve the problem. Otherwise they will just say sorry and move on to the next complaint.

I have emailed and mailed companies with both complementing and telling them about things I didn't like. I have received coupons from both. Complaints generated more FREE coupons, but complements did get some good coupons too. Just try it. If it's email you have nothing to lose, if it's snail mail you only use a stamp.

I remember I complmented seapak ( seafood) on some shrimp I had and loved, they sent me $9.99 coupon! Also delmonte sent me $.50 off coupons when I emailed them. THen I found delmonte kethcup on sale for .59 at my store. I used all 10 of the coupons they sent me and stocked up on kethcup!
