    Default Prescription transfer question

I want to transfer a presciption from CVS to RiteAid to get the 30.00 gift card. This may be a dumb question, but how do you transfer a prescription? Do I just bring the presciption info and CVS phone number to Rite Aid and they take care of it or do I contact CVS? Thanks!

Go to the Rite Aid where you want to transfer the prescription, and take your pill container from CVS, or Rx info with you. Just tell the pharmacy tech that you would like to transfer your prescription to them, and they will take care of it for you. Make sure you bring any insurance info, etc., if you have it.

Yup, I just told DBF today I was going to do this with one of my prescips next week. I'm going to do another one in another 6 months and so on and so forth. I can't believe I have waited so long to do this. I shop at RA all the time and I could have had so many freebies. If you have insurance the price will be the same but the $30 gift card is icing.

It's very easy...just bring it in, and the pharmacy team will take care of it for you.

I transferred from Target to CVS (only because CVS is in my town vs. driving 20 min to Target), and it was a piece of cake.

I was even able to do it online. (Just an FYI for anyone else who may be looking to do the same thing).
