Beginner gardener?
I would love to have a vegetable and herb garden next year. Are their sites/information for beginners? (or better yet, a thread here at FV?)
Thanks!

A good resource is the cooperative extension service. Your local office will have a lot of information. Also, your land grant university will have a web site that will have gardening info for your specific area. Gardening is a worth-while life-long journey. You will always have something to learn along with new challenges each day.
Best of luck!!!!

Welcome to gardening! I think you'll enjoy it very much. Nothing better than having your hands and fingers in dirt! (just like being a kid all over again lol!) And when your digging you have an outlet to be able to vent out your frustrations be it the arrogant, idiot boss, significant other, nosy neighbor... oh a whole bunch of people you'd really like to tell off but don't! LOL!
With the prices of produce in the stores and the risk of getting sick from certain produce lately, you have the benefit of knowing exactly what YOU grew, how you fertilized or even if you did etc etc, of what your putting on your and your families plates! And for 10 cents (I've seen in some stores) you can grow a lot more toms, peppers, lettuce than if you bought just 1 in the store! It's also nice to look out your window and see a very beautiful flower garden, if your growing flowers/shrubs too! A lot of work, but Well worth it in my opinion! Enjoy!
