    Default Xanthan Gum vs. corn starch: Shampoo & body wash

    I am planing on experimenting with the creation of homemade shampoos and body wash. One common ingredient i keep finding is Xanthan Gum. Its a thickener that is non gluten based, while corn starch, i would imagine, is.

    Can i use Corn starch instead of Xanthan Gum?

    I'm thinking it would mold or something. 'not too worried about color or smells. I have oils and dyes.
