Where do you shop?
Where do you shop to find the best deals?
I'm currently in love with:
Aldi - less variety, but great deals
Walmart - The clearance section is great for gifts and linens
- The discount bread section - It's marked "Oops, we made too much!" - We stock up and freeze it, and just defrost the day we want to eat it with dinner. You can't beat a cheddar and pepperoni loaf for $2.10!
Dollar Tree - Be careful, you will be spending more on some things there, but I find that their pasta and juice are the cheapest in town, and you can't beat the prices on cleaning supplies.
I love that Wegmans is family owned and whatnot, but the prices are generally too high to shop their often. We'll mostly pick up some meat and produce there since the quality is better.
Also, for books and used DVDs, there's a local used book store, which has helped to build our library to almost twice the size it once was. If you can't tell, we read a lot!

Sav-A-Lot for groceries we do not have Aldis so I am not sure of the price comparisons. They are also limited related to varieties but they have the basics.
Sally's for hair products as they offer large quantities which in the end are alot cheaper than WalMart especially if you color your hair.
GoodWill for appliances. I have a GoodWill in an affluent section of town which offers a ten day money back guarantee on all appliances. I have found great deals there.Baby Step #1 Done!

For groceries, I shop at the Asian market, Price-Rite and Trader Joe's.
For clothes, I shop consignment, JC Penney, thrift stores, and online sales.
I buy most household stuff online.

Save-A-Lot & Aldi's for basics. Also, I like to take a tour thru the food section at Big Lots. Last week I bought 8 cases of canned fruit @ 50 cents a can.Over the years I have found lots of good food bargains@ BL, you just can't count on any particular Item being there. I shop Krogers for their loss leaders, meats & anytime I need something between shopping trips, as they are on my way home. I have also stocked up on HBA from Krogers, combining double coupons w/on sale items.I am still buying laundry detergent (not making my own) & I have gotten the best deals at Rite-Aid and Discount Drug Mart.

My husband shops at 99 ranch market-an chinese store chain. Mostly because he is chinese and they have the veggies and food he likes. I shop Winco, 99 cent only stores, big lots ,Sams club. And for meats and bread mostly Ralphs and Vons for their markdowns. I also buy their loss leaders with double coupons.

For most of our food I shop at Giant Eagle. With double Q's they can't be beat by anyone around here. For most of what I can't get cheap with a Q at GE I go to WM. I use most of my $1 Q's there. For our medicines, and health/beauty I go to Rite Aid and CVS. I get tons of free things with FAR and ECB's. The nearest WM ,CVS and GE are 35 miles away so I only shop every other week when we get paid. If our local market has any good deals I will stock up on somethings in between paydays. They double Q's up to .50 cents only and have recently switched from IGA to owner name market. Not seeing very many worthwhile deals from them since the switch.Occasionally I will get some things from Aldi, also 35 miles away, and our Dollar General Market. During the summer I like to shop our Farmers Market.

Safeway-basic groceries, (I miss Vons in So-Cal and the double coupons).
Trader Joes-dairy, banana's, pasta, dryed fruits & nuts, crackers
ethnic market-meats, (they are kosher, and very good quality)
99 Ranch-some produce, and specialty items
Target-dairy, frozen items, HBA
Petsmart-kitty supplies, (and they take coupons)
Dollar Store-some spices, and candies for the hubbies treat container

Walmart: We live about 45 miles away and go about twice a month.
Piggly Wiggly: This is our small town's best grocery store and I usually buy their sale items.
Real Deal: This is a grocery store about 50 miles away to which we make a few trips per year. Their stock is unpredictable, but it's a great place to stock up on cereal and coffee at huge discounts.
Big Lots: I recently found some of the best prices that I've seen in ages on canned peaches and pears, plus some great DVD's for $3.00 each.
America's Thrift Store: You never know what you'll find, but over the years I've gotten dozens of great deals on pots and pans, dishes, lamps, furniture, clothing, fabric, books, movies, and small appliances.
Sam's Club: It's good to know your prices here, but we do find the best prices on flour and several other items.
I've love to shop at Aldi's, but the nearest one is 100 miles away.
