Shirts feel *heavy*
I'll do my best to explain this, I have some shirts, that just feel Heavy. It is like all the soap or something didn't get rinsed out. I would like to do something to *freshen* them up.
I'll admit, they are older, at least one is is almost 10 years old! It is still in fantastic shape, and I mostly use it as a night shirt.
I just don't see any reason to get rid of them, if I can fix them, ya know?
As I said in my other post, I'm really picky! Thanks for taking the time to look!

P.S. When I do laundry I use very little soap and I only *fluff* my shirts and pants for 10 mins in the dryer and then hang them. I dry socks and underwear all the way however.

Just taking a stab but could you try washing them with Clarifying Shampoo or a Dish Detergant like Dawn?

Also rinse in white vinegar and water instead of fabric softner.

Actually it might be your drying process because I had the same thing happen. I was told to reverse how I used the dryer and that seemed to work like a charm. So instead of using the dryer for about 10 minutes and then hanging the clothes out to dry, hang them to dry first, and when completely dried then put them in the dryer for 10-15 minutes (works even better if you have a "air dry" or "no heat" dry function on your dryer, if so use that) they seem to fluff up and feel light and airy doing it that way.

If you have a front loader(the best but them I'm prejuduiced, I have one) just add it to the softener in the appropriate cup. if you have a top loader add it on the rinse cycle or use a downy ball.

Staying home doing nothing is a lot more fun if you don't have to do it.

The air drying and fluffing later in the dryer is working GREAT! Thank you to those who suggested it! It does mess up my laundry schedule a little, but I'll live with it for nice light clothes!
THANKS THANKS THANKS!

Sorry I haven't been back to this thread in a while. Use 1 part white vinegar to 1 part water instead of the amount of liquid fabric softner you use. It will still get your clothes soft and static free but won't deposit any heave ingredients on your clothes.
