Also try www.theknot.com . My dd went on there a lot while planning her wedding. She was impressed with all the help she got; message boards and such.

I used theknot.com too. Huge list, I deleted a lot of them but it really helped me out!

Here is a task list. I have lots of other things but they are in excel format that I cannot attach here. I will be more than happy to send you lots of info on weddings. You can email me at sjennette @ live dot com if you are interested.

I am currently using theknot.com for my January wedding. It has been a HUGE help in our planning. You might also search on Google or other search engine for wedding checklist or frugal wedding checklist, or some other phrases to get lots of ideas. With Christmastime upon us, I have been able to find a lot of things for reception decorations for my 'snowflake' themed reception.

I used an excel spreadsheet that I downloaded for free from WedWiz, but it's apparently no longer offered or no longer free, because I get an error message every time I try to access it. It was very user-friendly -- you entered your budget and number of bridal party members and guests, and it gave a breakdown for every category based on your budget and the national average for what's spent. You can PM me if you'd like me to email it to you.

karlaa, this was first posted in 2008. Maybe it might be of interest for others, if the links still work.
