Canned Peaches....
Can i freeze the syrup that comes in a store bought can of peaches? I always dump it out before i eat the peaches. I thought it might be a tasty snack if i put it in individual 1/2 cup containers and froze it. Does it expand like water does when frozen? Should i put a lid on it or leave the lid off til it freezes?
Sorry for all the questions LOL.

I freeze the juice from canned fruit in ice cube trays and use it in iced tea during the summer. It expands like water but the cubes tend to be a little more on the musshy side not as hard as regular cubes.
You can also thaw it out and use it in baking to add favor to things like cakes and marinades.

I've frozen it too and used it for making homemade popsicles. You could also use it in your baking.

I was going to suggest the ice cubes in iced tea or lemonade. Or use it instead of the cold water to make jello.

I used to always freeze the fruit juice that fruit came in ---never bought fruit in syrup. I would then mix it with a little sprite or 7up and make a punch for the kids.

I will freeze it. Covered container just to be sure it doesn't get any other "flavor". When I want to eat it I will scrap it with a fork to make a granata or flavored snow. Ok, so this took a while for me to do, but I feel better doing this than throwing the canned liquid down the drain.

It seems it would make the jello super sweet. Maybe add a little lemon juice if you do this? I add some when I make jello with just water.
