One thing I have done to save more money is to make my own bread however, I am not sure it is really saving us THAT much money, however I feel it is healthier for us.

One thing we've done to save money is to leave the house less, it has made SUCH a big impact, especially on my 'but-it's-on-clearance' shopping habits (not to mention gas, alone!)

~I do a big shop once a month instead of picking up the loss leaders every week.
Yes it has helped drop our overall gas usage by 15% and my grocery and home/beauty budgets by about $35 a month.~~Constance

I started cookign from scratch and doing my main grocery shopping at Price-Rite and fruit and veggie buying at a produce market instead of buying everything at the small, overpriced yuppie Stop & Shop near my house. I've cut my grocery bill by about 2/3, despite rising prices!!

I have taken the time to create a budget that reflects all of our fixed expenses plus our variables, within that budget I've set a realistic savings plan, debt repayment and grocery fund, which is spent after pouring through the flyers; this has actually made our money go a lot further for us.

I started going the extra 10 miles to Save A lot once a month instead of shopping at the closer but far more expensive grocery stores and am saving a bundle on food.
