Why are the answered questions...
still showing unanswered even when they've been answered for days? I'm just curious. The whole answered/unanswered thing sort of confuses me now with how it's supposed to work.

Thank you Sara, that explained it. I had wondered if it was the posters responsibility to choose an answer so it would mark it answered. That makes sense now.

Each person that asks a question is messaged an alert that there's been a reply. The original poster needs to select the best answer. If after a few weeks they haven't selected the best answer and I think there is a good answer, I'll check it as answered.

Just means the original poster didn't choose a best answer. Sometimes, none of the answers are what they're looking for, they forget to mark the best answer, or they aren't active here anymore.
