Swim Goggles - Prevent Fogging?
Ok...trying to keep up with the frugal theme here, I purchased swim goggles a while back for not much ($10) they're still in great shape except now they keep fogging up. Is there a safe way to keep them fog free that won't run into my eyes? Looking for a frugal way to do this if possible. Also heard the anti-fog sprays don't work (ie hockey visor sprays).

When I was a kid we always used spit and rubbed it around inside. Sounds gross, but it worked, and you can't get more frugal than your own spit!

My husband bought some stuff at a bike rally called Zooke:
http://www.zooke.com/. I have to say this stuff is awesome. It works on glasses and sunglasses too. You only use a little bit.Carrie, ravenmaniac - I love my Ravens!!!!

I'm a scuba diver here's what we do....either spit or baby shampoo (rinse after smearing around inside but not extremely vigorously---both suggestions
). Seriously baby shampoo works the best.

We used to use spit too, when we were kids! Kind of gross now that I think about it, but it did work!

Yep, spit... my girls were on the swim team for 5 years and every swimmer simply spat in their goggles and rubbed it around, then rinsed them off in the pool water. Worked great!
Happy swimming!

I used to be on the swim team in highschool. The trick to preventing your goggles from fogging up while swimming is to dip them in the water before putting them on.

I've always used baby shampoo too, scuba diving.
Just one of those travel size bottles under $1 goes a long way, and is easy to carry.Last edited by mrsfoamy; 03-10-2009 at 06:33 PM.

And yes, the sprays don't work.
