How do I get back on track?
I have been sick for about 2 weeks (bad cold then bad bad time of the month, seizure disorder ). My housework is behind, my cooking has not been planned (thank God for stockpile). I was able to keep up w/dishes, some cooking and some laundry. But my house is just so piled and cluttered. I feel overwhelmed and am still not feeling well. How do I get back on track?
I was going along so well for so long. Making everything from scratch, stockpiling, budgeting, keeping up the house. Now I am back to square one....Truck paid off 12/07(paid in full)

Just start small and do some little things to get you back into the swing of things. Do whatever is most important to you. If it is cleaning the house, start with working on that, if it is cooking from scratch, start small with something along those lines.
I've been sick for the last week and my house has gone to heck too. I'm starting to feel better, so I am going to start on laundry today and see what else I can get done without totally wearing myself out!

Look at all that must be done then break it down into small "bites". A big job can be overwhelming but small jobs are manageable. You can get it done because you want to do it.

Throw something EZ in the crockpot. Workdays are good bean days.
Then start in the room that is the most important to you. If you have lots of visits, start in the company room. If you are more private, start in your bedroom. My next room would be the kitchen.
If you have an open plan like we do, I find it better to work in layers. Layer 1 -would be kids toys, 2- shoes/clothes, 3 - books/misc, 4 - clean, 5-sweep.

I understand New Leaf! I was down to one hand ( and NOT the hand I use), for like 2 months! I'm finally getting my house back to order. Do you know how long it takes to do anything one handed? omg! anyways. I started with getting the kitchen and bathroom deep cleaned. That was priority one with me. then I worked on the picking up and putting away. then the dusting. And I'm just now getting the floors done, one at a time! ( if I work the arm too much it gets sore and aches sometimes). Slowly but steadily. One thing at a time. Decide what you consider is the first priority and then go down the list. You'll get it done. Just take your time.

I agree, start small or even in 15 minute increments. Just do anything for 15 minutes. You'll be surprised on how much you can accomplish in 15 minutes!

I'm a list making maniac.
I just break everything down into the smallest component job and put it on the list. (I get to put more check marks on my list that way
)
So not "do laundry".... but rather "sort laundry", "wash laundry", "dry laundry", "fold laundry"..

Thanks everyone. I thought all were good answers and they got me up off my butt and working. I actually got more done than I thought I would. I did dishes, swept and mopped 1st floor floors, folded laundry, put away laundry and started a new load. I picked up my bedroom and the first floor. I menu planned. And then I was really exhausted!!!

Sorry to hear that you have been under the weather! I would just take it one step at a time. Until you have built yourself back up. It's always nice to have a fresh start. Just keep positive and remember we are all here for support when you need us!!!

Sorry to hear you have not been feeling well. First, take a deep breath and then prioritize...take one thing at a time, trying not to overwhelm yourself...before you know it you will be back on track.

I'm with the list suggestion. I would never get anything accomplished if i didn't write it down!
another thing is don't give yourself TOO MANY to do's
hope you are feeling better soon

Things are slowly shaping up here. I made a list for today and if I can stick w/it I will almost be caught up except for laundry. Also, running to the store/errands really throws me off. I plan on staying home today and taking care of business!!!!!
