How Do You Get An Adhesive Sticker Off Plastic?
I have a toy that I tried removing the price that had the sticker and all the label but the adhesive guck came off. I've tried rubbing it, putting water to it and rubbing it, using a curled piece of tape and 'dabbing' off the other adhesive and nothing works. I have to get the tape off and have the toy looking nice because I'm giving it away.
Anyone with any good suggestions. I'll give almost anything a try. Thank you in advance. An obstacle is what comes up when you lose sight of your goal.

Vinegar? It works w/ most other things and I wouldn't think it will remove the color. I think lighter fluid would remove the color. Soft scrub has bleach so no. How about toothpaste? (my mind rambles, sorry).

I found what works wonders. WD-40! I spray it and it rubbed off with three rubs! I'll have to remember this one!

I use Goo Gone. It's citrus-oil based so it smells good when you're done too

I heat adhesive tags (or lables) with a hair dryer. When the adhesive softens, they can be easily removed. This is a good application when you can't add an oiley substance to the surface. I'm also a fan of Goo Gone, baby oil (or any kind of mineral oil or cooking oil), and WD-40.

I too swear by Goo Gone. That is always my first choice when removing anything if it entails 'glue' on something.
The best part is now I can usually find it at one of our dollar stores instead of having to go to a hardware or 'big box' store where it is three times as expensive. Love the dollar stores!!!!
