    Default Ovencleaner safe for countertops?

    (formica/laminate tops)

is it safe? i have alot of buildup and regular cleaners arent cutting it (409 etc)

i am sure it would take the buildup off but would it hurt the countertops? and/or any other way to remove the grease?

    thanks!
    bloo

Greased Lighting is pretty heavy duty, maybe similar to oven cleaner. It does take grease off well. I used it on non-wood cabinets, laminate I guess.

I would not use oven cleaner. I think using any degreaser would work. I also use cameo cleaner. Its like comet; but not as abrasive. Its kind of like soft scrub in powder form and you add a real small amount of water and scrub with a nylon scrubber

Oven cleaners tend to be toxic. I even hate to use them in the oven. Although they are not as bad as they used to be. I usually have good luck w/ soft scrub w/ bleach. The I rinse w/ vinegar and water mixed in a spray bottle. or water.
